REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in industrial hygiene, safety, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Proficiency in relevant PC tools
  • Some travel required

Staff-Level Industrial Hygienist

GESI is seeking a full-time, staff level industrial hygienist to assist with current IH projects and to develop and manage IH surveys/evaluations, environmental and occupational health audits, and indoor air quality surveys. Candidates must be knowledgeable in OSHA standards and ACGIH guidelines. Candidates should possess strong quantitative analysis skills, outstanding communication skill, and the ability to work in a team environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES
Tasks would include the following:

  • Perform industrial hygiene surveys/evaluations.
  • Conduct environmental safety and occupational health audits.
  • Conduct chemical inventories.
  • Conduct air sampling.
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of air emission inventories, chemical engineering calculations, air permit applications, and other environmental permit applications.
  • Assist in the preparation of environmental reports and support documentation for clients.
  • Should be a self starter, able to comprehend new concepts quickly, and comfortable in a fast paced environment.
  • Perform additional work as requested.
